  • Edu20 is a robust application with many, many tools.  How can teachers get the most out of this tool? This will be a constant underlying thread throughout the workshop.


 Working with Video

  • locating, downloading, and publishing high-quality web-based video (downloadhelper, VLC media player and video hosting sites)
  • creating video using built in web-cam, flip cams or screencasting software (jing, flip cams, flipshare software, webcam basics)
  • editing and modifying video with still images, music, captions, titles and transitions (jaycut.com, iMovie 09, Moviemaker)
  • converting and publishing video (anyvideo converter, prism, handbrake)

 

Working with Digital Images

  • locating, saving, and publishing high-quality digital images (image hosting sites, flickr, screen capture technologies)
  • taking quality digital images with a simple point & shoot camera
  • editing and manipulating digital images (fotoflexer, photoshop, fireworks, wordle, voicethread, onetruemedia, cogdogroo, photostory, iMovie, Moviemaker)
  • adjusting file sizes to share via email or publish to the web

 

Working with Audio

  • locating, downloading, and publishing high-quality web-based audio (Audacity)
  • creating high-quality audio using mp3 recorders or built-in laptop microphones
  • editing and manipulating audio tracks (audacity, garageband)
  • adjusting file size and converting audio and publishing to the web

 

Publishing Content to the Web

  • publishing audio, video, images, slideshows and text to the web via edu20, wikis, google apps, yudu.com, blogs, ning, facebook, websites etc.
